Mi Jong Lee is a designer women’s ready-to-wear collection designed and produced exclusively in our New York City Garment District atelier under the creative direction of the brand’s namesake Korean-American designer, Mi Jong Lee.
Mi Jong Lee
Lee, a thirty-year design veteran whose credentials include Cornell University and Parsons, The New School for Design, founded her eponymous line in 2014, after a successful presence in the retail world.
The collection’s pillars include classic foundations with a distinct influence from the world of fine arts, a refined embrace of color, original custom print design, and high ethics and sustainability standards. Mi Jong Lee is available at the brand’s privately owned and operated Madison Avenue flagship and in over fifteen designer specialty stores across the United States and Canada.
About the Atelier
Based in New York City, the brand’s 37th Street Garment District headquarters doubles as a bespoke atelier, where 100% of the collection is designed, produced, and manufactured. Mi Jong Lee, the brand, is a member of “Made in New York,” and was certified in 2016 by the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
About the Flagship
Founded in 1982, Emmelle Boutique is a purveyor of beautifully designed luxury womenswear and accessories. In addition to the Mi Jong Lee and Emmelle collections, it carries select jewelry and accessories lines from both established and emerging designers, who share a similar independent spirit and thoughtful aesthetic. The result is an experience that embraces both the classic and the cutting-edge, with looks that are timeless yet distinctive.
